Hi, I'm Mona!
The honest version
I didn't plan Bright Pups. I planned a career in professional services, and for a long time, that's exactly what I had.
Then I got Lottie, my beautiful blonde Cockerpoo, and started trying to find someone good to care for her around mine and my husbands careers.
I'd spent years in professional services, environments where the standard was high, detail mattered, and clients expected consistency and got it. What I found in the dog care market was almost the opposite. Rotating walkers, no continuity, surface-level updates, and a general sense that good enough was fine, and that good enough can be outsourced via third-party websites.
It wasn't fine. And I didn't want to keep outsourcing Lottie's care to someone I didn't trust. Seeing a gap in the market, I left and built something better.
What Bright Pups actually is
It's not a national platform, it's not a rota of rotating walkers you've never met, and it's not just 'good enough'.
Bright Pups is me, in Bristol, caring for the perfect number of dogs properly. That means the same person, every time. It means I know your dog, not just their name on a booking form. It means when something's slightly off, I notice, because I've been paying attention.
I came from a world where that kind of care was expected as standard. I bring the same expectation here.
Why Lottie matters
She's the reason any of this exists, but she's also part of how it works.
Lottie is now two years old, well-socialised, and genuinely amazing with other dogs. She helps nervous dogs settle. She moderates energy in group walks. She is, in the most literal sense, a reference point: how a dog responds to her tells me a lot about where they are.
Everything I ask of dogs in my care, I've already built into her. Structure, recall, calmness, social awareness. She sets the tone.
Who this is for
Bright Pups works best for owners who want more than availability.
If you're a busy professional who needs to know, genuinely know, that your dog is in good hands while you're working, travelling, or just trying to get through the week, this was built for you. It's not a quick fix. Not a convenience service that changes shape every six months. Something consistent, something personal, something that actually gets to know your dog over time.
This is a small operation by design. I keep my client numbers manageable because that's the only way the standard holds.
If that sounds like what you've been looking for, it probably is.
What being a Bright Pups client looks like
Beyond the walks and drop-ins, I think about the whole experience. Clients are regulars, not transactions. There are member benefits. There are Christmas gifts for every dog. There are the small things that don't show up on a service description but that tell you something about how seriously I take this.
It's a community, one carefully nurtured, loved and appreciated.
Lottie would also like you to know that she takes her role as Chief Pup very seriously during the walks she joins me on. Most of the time.

What I Believe
"I've never walked more than four dogs at once, and I never will. Personally, I actually prefer Solo Walks so I can give your dog 100% of my attention for our precious time together. I know every dog I care for by name, by personality, by what makes them nervous and what makes them bolt for a puddle. That's not a policy. That's just how I work."
I meet every dog before I walk them. I send a photograph and a note after every single visit, or as often as you would like them. I tell you if anything concerns me, the same day. And I treat your home with the same respect I would want for my own, because being a keyholder of your home means something.
These are not aspirations. They are the commitments I make to every client from day one.

"Our puppy has grown in confidence with Bright Pups, from puppy sitting and sit-and-plays, to regular walks and socialising with other dogs. Mona and her team are exceptionally knowledgeable, caring and professional. Tiggy absolutely loves her walks, and knowing she is happy and well cared for makes office days easier."
— Amy T, Bristol
"Huge thank you to Bright Pups for taking such good care of our goofy Irish Setter. He's had such a blast on his walks and has been so well looked after during his pop-ins. It's been so reassuring to have regular updates and photos, particularly when Cooper was recovering from a major surgery and braving his first few walks. Couldn't fault Mona for a fantastic and reliable service."
— Laura S, Bristol
"Mona has been looking after our puppy Henry since he was just 10 weeks old, and we couldn't recommend her more highly. From puppy visits to walks and training sessions, Mona is always finding new ways to keep him happy, entertained, and well-exercised. She's incredibly reliable, kind, and attentive. Most importantly, Henry absolutely adores her — and it's clear they've built a lovely bond."
